Head north-west along the Tanami Track to our campsite just past Rabbit Flat, stopping along the way for fuel at Yuendumu Aboriginal community and a brief look at Rabbit Flat Roadhouse. The whole day is spent driving through the Tanami Desert. Tonight is our first night of camping. (LB,L,D)

Day 3 – Tanami Track camp to Halls Creek: 455kms
It's back out onto the Tanami heading towards the historic town of Halls Creek. Tonight’s accommodation in Halls Creek is the Kimberley Hotel. (LB,L,D)

Day 4 – Halls Creek to Purnululu National Park: 160kms
We spend the morning exploring Old Halls Creek and visiting the Walls of China. After restocking supplies in town, we then drive appx 100km up the Great Nth Highway to the turnoff to Purnululu National Park. The drive into our campsite at Wallaroo is appx 60km. This section of our trip will take 2 – 3 hours to complete, is quite rough and a 4wd with good clearance is needed. This area is the home of the Bungle Bungle Range. Enjoy a camp dinner tonight. (LB,L,D)

Day 5 – Purnululu National Park
Wake up to the sound of Corellas and spend the day exploring the area. We start the day with a helicopter flight over the Beehive Domes. There is the option to do longer flights if you wish. After our flights, a walk into the Beehives and then Cathedral Gorge to enjoy the breath taking scenery. After lunch, we head up to Kurrajong Camp and a great walk into Echidna Chasm. Camping with camp dinner. (LB,L,D)

Day 6 – Purnululu NP to Kununurra: 260kms
Today’s drive is an easy one, with a lunch stop at Turkey Creek along the way. There are spectacular views of the surrounding ranges between here and Kununurra. We will be staying in air-conditioned cabins at Ivanhoe Village Resort, which is only a short stroll from the centre of Kununurra township. BBQ dinner tonight. (LB,L,D)

Day 7 – Kununurra
A rest day to do as you please! Kununurra has a variety of activities for the traveller, cruises on the Ord River, fishing for the elusive "Barra" and much more! A drive around the extensive farming area, great lookout, check out the crocs at the causeway. Tag-along participants may like to take this day to visit Lake Argyle or do a diamond mine tour. Tonight in cabins again at Ivanhoe Village Resort. Before leaving Kununurra, if anyone wants alcoholic beverages to have between here and Derby, this is your last chance to buy take-aways. (LB,L,D)
